Besides application, what are the actual differences between the 2863216 and 2863215 clutch fan blades?

Any help appreciated...

Both are the same size, same number of blades and blades rivets.
The only difference is the cut on the blade.
216 is a more pronounced cut with more cut out on the edge of the blades than the 215.
216 shown here on the left, 215 on the right

My book shows the 215 as an 18 inch and the 216 as 18.5 inch

I should clarify I meant the blades are the same size. Yes the parts books indicate 18.5 for the 216 and 18" for the 215.
With the two on top of each other and center lined up it actually more like 1/4" difference.

would that extra 1/2 or 1/4 make any difference in cooling ....to justify two fans almost the same

Do you think the diff is due to fan noise when the clutch kick in or for different CID's????

Thanks alot guys!

It seems with centers lined up there is a quarter inch more on each side totaling the 216 being 18.5" compared to the 215's 18." diameter.

Other than that the slightly different shape on the end of the blades seem to be the only other difference.
