I have a 1970 Dodge D200 Camper Special lined up for myself. I wanna know whether I should keep the 2bbl system on or if I should slap in a 4bbl?
And how I would do the conversion? (First Build)
I don't really care about gas mileage. Just want to have some fun and bring her back to life.

I'll answer any questions about the truck.
Not looking to dump 10k right away, just want it to run well and sound good.

What part of "illegal" is so confusing???

Welcome to the board.

Adding a 4bbl in place of a 2bbl was the first thing I always did when I acquired a new to me Mopar. Standard procedure!

You will need to change the intake manifold, the carb, the air cleaner assembly, and you will probably have to slightly modify your throttle and auto trans kick down linkage, the 4bbl stuff sits outside and slightly higher then the 2bbl stuff did. Sorry, I don't remember exactly what I had to do with the linkage, it was a long time ago.

If I could limit how often I put my foot into that 4bbl, most of the time, adding the 4bbl improved my gas mileage! Gene

Remember to get an intake gasket before you do it! I made that mistake once. Everything you need can be had fairly cheap at swap meets or online ads. SKip over buying a cast iron intake and find an aluminum one. Something like a performer RPM would work well. Remember to get a B engine one 361/383/400 and not an RB one aka 440.

I didn't have to change a thing with the kickdown linkage when I did that to my 69 D200 Camper Special. Used the big thin washers and bolted it together, works just fine! up
