Glen Ray Radiator is freshing up my Radiator. Ask Bob to send me pictures of the date code. Wow it has two date codes stamped. He said he has seen this before kind of rare to see. Any ideas how it ended up with two date codes?

Did it have a soldered on tag on the top over the regular part number?

Also see the pinion at the bottom of page 5 at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/factoryErrors05.shtml

They probably discovered an issue that had to be corrected, if so it would have been re-dated after the repair.

One other question, I have seen rad hoses enter the radiiator on the passenger side. Is it because of different sizes maybe a 26 rad. Compared to a 22.?

It is on a 2998954 radiator. Stamped tank. My guess is that they didn't use the bracket on the original day and found it 7 days later and re-stamped it and used it. They had a different way of marking the side bracket on a factory repaired radiator before it went out the door.

Date codes were stamped at final assembly.
