You'll be real close, I have a 6" cowl hood but it does not really measure that high and I put it from the bottom side so its closer to 5". I can run a big aircleaner under the hood still. I do have some pics of when I was test fitting the engine before it was built. This is a low deck 511.

The car already had an engine plate when I bought it. I lowered it 1/4" for header clearance. I stuffed 2" TTI under chassis headers in the car because I had them from when it had eddy heads. I have lowered the K member 1/2". I built my own oil pan for ground clearance. The car is apart at the moment, will be going back together as soon as the snow clears abit.
It uses the passenger side spool mount to hold engine from moving.

Those are for nitrous, The intake had a fogger. I put 1/2" spacers between the frame and the K member to lower it. I did that because the TTI headers hit the pitman arm when I had eddy heads.
