I recently was offered a good deal on a set of these rods from a canceled SB project. They look pretty nice. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. There is so much Chinese junk out there these days,I'm wary about buying almost anything with out someones good advice. Thanks in advance!!

the Compstar rods are probably some of the nicest rods out there right now, barring Carillo and Oliver.
we sell them and use them and the machining sizes are incredibly accurate. they get from me.

Have many out there. They are a high quality "inexpensive" rod. No major issues.

I picked up some Compstar I beams for a new project. They are a very nice looking rod and the price was right.

What would be a good price for a set of small block Compstar rods (4.0 stroker combo)?

Can't remember what I paid for mine as they came with a kit. At the time I figured they were about 100$ more than a set of Eagles. I'd definitely buy them again. More meat around the the bolts/studs. Pin end was just under.001". Fairly lite rod at 610 grams, and yes they were dead on. With the Dragonslayer crank I ended up with .018-.002" across the board.
