Isn't that about where Rich Christiansen stands to do his arm drops on Pinks? He may want to rethink that.
We should sponsor the guy to appear on Pinks!

He did not break the axel sheard wheel studs. can see the axel flange still in housing in the 5th pic.
After seeing what can happen in these photos, maybe it's time to start adding wheel studs to the list of regular 'maintenance' items.

Bryon,
That unlucky driver is "GTX" John Irving out of Boulder NV, he just bought the truck a couple of weeks ago. His boys are both still entered at Pomona with a Volare S/W and 73 Satellite.

Hate? No, not at all. My beef with the show is twofold. ONE--the human christmas tree. Its dumb and horribly inaccurate. Needs to be removed, and this thread just revealed a method of getting the job done , TWO, the lack of no posted times! Why not? We would like to know how fast the cars really are, and sandbagging would become far more difficult to keep concealed.

Nobody said you have to like John Irving, I've known him for at least 35 yrs since his days as a bail bondsman in whittier catering to the street racers.
And I know to leave my wallet at home if I do any business with him, but nobody likes to see a race car/truck get hurt like that.

Didn't say I liked to see anything get hurt....I'm sure he is fine. If you've ever dealt with him, then you know exactly from where I speak. This guys will tell you he's better than you and walk away without a care in the world. He also likes to stretch the truth...ALOT! I don't care for people like that, and I'm allowed to say it As for the truck, well it's not like he can't afford to fix it. And the tree for that matter. I will say, even though I don't care for John, he is a great dad from what I've seen, and takes care of his boys. Gives them whatever they want. My dealings with him have been very bad, and I hate to see anyone else get swindled from him. He's a sneeky one that's for sure. Brian

Of course I know she`s dead..........And I am being nice so what`s your point.
The way you said, That you would do Anna, implied that you might not know that she had passed.
I was just Pointing out that she had, just in case you didnt know. But, you stated you did know. So that was my point
And whats this about you just being nice. I didnt know you had it in you. I always thought you were a hardcore redneck.
Okay, Now whats my point!, Im just messing with you. mike

IMO, most "sheard wheel studs" are due to the nuts not being tight. Just my 2-cents.
Everyone do themselves a favor and check all your lug nuts each day of racing. Just like checking oil, water, trans fluid, belts, etc.

I remember sheering 2 lugs off my sisters Slant 6 Dart because the lug nuts came loose. It didnt take much with the slant 6, a high HP/torque engine can take out all 5 in a heartbeat if the lug bolts have worked themselves loose. mike
