Thanks Cab!
Need to change the fluid & filter in my 07 1500 4x4 Ram, but want to get some input before i decide which fluid to use.
The price they have on it is quite low compared to others.

All ATF + 4 is made under license from Chrysler and has to use the base stock and additive package to be approved as ATF + 4.

I use their store brand oil (Walmart) in my daily drivers and if I remember right it says Valvoline in the small print so check it out. It may be the same.

Pretty sure it's made by Warren Oil Company.

Their Walmart label stuff gets good reviews on Bobistheoilguy as far as analysis goes.

Let me tell you about my experience with Wally World ATF+4. I did a trans filter change on my 03 T&C minivan and used the Wally World trans fluid. I had all kinds of jerky upshifts and downshifts. I thought the filter was not on correct and sucking air. I dropped the trans pan again and found the filter was fine. Still had shift issues so I changed the shift solenoid pack. Still had jerky shifts. Then I drained out the Wally World oil and replaced it with Valvoline. Trans shifted smoothly immediately and has been just fine for the last 2 years. I bought the wally fluid because it was cheaper but it really cost me in the long run.

The original additive package for ATF+4 was made by Lubrizol, which is now a division of Berkshire Hathaway.

I wonder if some less expensive ATF+4 uses a non-Lubrizol additive in less expensive syn base oil?

Regarding the jerky shifts after a fluid change on your 41TE. That is not uncommon after a fluid change - regardless of the fluid. It is always suggested to perform the "quick learn" with the scan tool to reset the adaptive values after a trans replacement, overhaul, valve body, solenoid pack replacement and in many cases just the fluid change. If you don't use the scan tool to reset the adaptives - it just takes longer for the trans controller to learn again - by driving it and performing various upshift and down shifts - it will accomplish the same learning - this is called the "drive learn". It only learns between approx. 80 to 120 F - lower or higher than these temps - it won't learn.

That's what I was thinking. My transmission builder won't let you pick up your vehicle after a rebuild til he puts 20 miles on it. Thanks for chiming in.

I aggree with what you are saying about the jerky shifts after a fluid change but this was still jerky after weeks of daily driving. the 2-3 upshift and the 2-1 downshift. That is why I changed the solenoid pack. After a few days the jerky shift came back and then I decided one last try to swap the fluid. This whole process was over a few months of researching the issues and trying different solutions. Once the fluid was changed the shifts were smooth and 45,000mi later they are still smooth.

Forgot to mention that I did do the quick learn and it only helped for a few days. That was before the new solenoid pack.

Not to beat this to death - but why did you change the fluid to start with? How many miles on the trans/vehicle? And did you do the quick learn after the pack was replaced? What scan tool did you use to do the quick learn? Just wonderin'

the minivan had 150,000 miles when I did that fluid change. I do it every 50,000 miles. I am almost at 200k now.
This was just my experience with wally world +4. I used it in the past in a chrysler LHS and it worked fine. I am sure it works fine for other people in other vehicles but I will not buy it again.

Thinking my buddy told me that the mini vans had a transmission filter in the radiator that needed changed too while servicing the transmission

I've been using the Walmart ATF+4 in everything, never a problem. Just used it in my Challenger and used the Mercedes trans pan with the drain plug for easier oil changes down the road.

I would be careful buying from a retailer that buys the cheapest stuff they can find and does not have the facilities or expertise to monitor the quality of what they sell. Maybe the supplier they're buying from today is a good one but no one knows who will be making their stuff tomorrow. The whole idea of putting their name on the can is so they can change suppliers at any time. Just my two cents.
