1966 Chrysler 300 with a 383.

Just restored the ac compressor with new rubber seals and gaskets.
Filled it up to day with the help of my friend and ac expert(not expert on old car ac´s)
It is leak free and seems to be fine.

But it´s not blow any cold air, the inlet is pipe is cold and the outlet pipe is hot.
He thought it´s a valve problem?

What could it be??

Thanks.

Is it blowing air from the dash registers when in the A/C mode?

Water valve may be defective or in the open mode allowing hot coolant to over-ride the ac.

Yes it´s blowing air in AC mode.

I was thinking of the vale under the dash on the passenger side.
But how do I check that?
I have checked that the actuator wire is moving whit the heat switch and it moves. but could it be some internal leak in it?

As in water valve or expansion valve? Gauge pressures will tell you if it's an expansion valve problem.

EPR on a RV2 comp or expansion valve hit it with a rubber mallet and see if it goes cold

Okey, I drove the car to work again today and I had the windows down because it was hot outside.
And I thought I will try the AC again, and now I had a thermometer with me in the car.
I put the sensor in the outlet and had 87F, then I put the windows up and put on the AC, after 5 minutes it was blowing 57F.

We can only use R134 here in Sweden so I think it´s pretty good for what it is.

So with new oil in the system and fully charged the valves are unstucked :-)

The system has been out of use for 10-15 years so finally it works.

Thanks for all your help guys :-)

MrSix-In general, you should see 20-25* difference inside from outside air. With that, I'd say you're golden. Glad it's working for you
