Nothing wrong with wanting to do things yourself. You just need to ask plenty of questions. I know I have. Look at other cars and see what you like and do not like. I had bought a set of frame rails for my Road Runner, installed them and quickly cut them back out. I then bought a bender and made my own rails.

Thank you. I will def. Check those measurements. As far as I can tell, it's never been wrecked, and I've had it for the last 22 years. So I know that far back also. I appreciate the help. Good looking work, love the pics. Keep them coming. Not much tubbed stuff around here, especially mopars

Here is the thing........NOBODY on this board or anywhere else can TELL you HOW to do this and cover every little detail, by either text or text and pictures. So how do you learn is the obvious question. Most of us figured it out and you do that by LOOKING at other cars and forming an understanding of how things work and why they are like they are. Don't trust that........ask questions while you are looking at someone's car. Or go to a chassis shop and see it they will show you some things. Find someone who does know how to do this to HELP you or at least show you some pointers, or maybe come by a couple times and check up on you.
What you are attempting to do?.........well on the one hand is NOT hard at all, but on the other hand can be a train wreck if not done right. You say there aren't many big tire mopars for you to look at in your area.....so what. It works the same under ANY car.
All these instructions these guys are giving above..........while dead on the money for the most part, likely mean nothing to you, as you likely have no idea what they are talking about, nor how to do it. Asking questions is great, but you need to find some help to get you started.
Jeff's pictures above are good and show what you are getting yourself into. Pre-welded kits are an option and can usually be made to work just fine, although some mods are usually required...........That's why they are called "universal" kits. Nobody that I know of makes a specific B body Mopar welded clip ready to go. So you modify or build. Either works. Personally, I like 4 links and round tubing. I think it's a waste to go to this extreme on a car and use heavy rectangular tubing, but that only my opinion, not the gospel.

Well...looks like I'll just measure, and cut. I know there is no b body specific kit, just because I ask questions doesn't mean I'm stupid. I'll go at it on my own. Thanks. I don't think anywhere in Monte's response did he imply you were stupid. I don't know Monte, but I can say from everything I read from him, he is trying to be straight up with you and let you know what to look for and help. I believe the advice he is giving you is really good. I'm with you, if I could weld, I would try to this myself, but I cant weld good enough to trust my life to it. So, I paid someone to back half my car 30 years ago. Go crawl under a bunch of cars at the track, take some pictures, not one person has ever told me I couldn't look under their car. My 2 cents.

Any pictures of the tail section. I've never been clear on whether to plate it then weld it to the plates, or just weld to the body. I'd prefer to spread the pressure out a bit with a long plate. But not sure. Yes, plate.
