Purchased this indy rb intake. Has valley pan welded to it with a NOS spray bar mounted in it. Anybody used one like this. trying to figure out solenoids and jetting.

never seen that done before, i wonder is they had a hood clearance problem? im sure monty will chime in on jet/solenoid combo, id think the nos cheater upgrade would be a good way to do it, it doesent come with a plate, but comes with the bigger solenoids, bigger feed line, etc so it doesent have alot of parts that you dont need in it.

Only way to know for SURE what it is capable of is to flow test it. Size of bar, size of holes and number of holes all make a difference. It's essentially a plate kit mounted in the plenum, but like a plate, the bars is what matters.

Is that something u do monte and what do u charge. Somebody said it might be a old kos intake. Valley was welded to get to lifters without removing head. Has one gas and one nos spraying direct inside of port.

Richard O'Malley (O'Malley Competition, KOS sponsor) used to do that type of stuff.
I'd definitely send it to Monte and have it flowed...otherwise you'll just be guessing. I'd much rather know where to start from the get-go so I didn't hurt anything w/ a left field tune up.

I had an intake like that once. I started with a new intake which I sent to NOS. They mounted a spray bar in the plenum for me and sold me the matching solenoids. I never used it, ended up selling it at a swap meet.

My KOS Demon had a O'Malley plate with cross bars that was stamped with something like 250HP. Didn't have any jets in it when I got the car and I am glad I didn't try to turn it on. The jet is where the conical section Is that the hose seals to. Had it flowed and a couple holes dribble instead of spray. Now the manifold just has the fogger.

Why can't you flow test the fuel side with a NOS bottle? Too much pressure for the solenoid to open against?
