NP 833, 23 spine, housing id PP833 2768 (early 1969), tailhousing 99539 for console and non console b body cars, input cover C97619 (turned to 4 1/4 size) and ball detent cover 95664. Rebuilt with new 308/307 bearings, SR 294 Synchronizers, needle bearings, seals, clips and gaskets. Cleaned and cleared over factory markings. Comes with new Brewers gasket set because I took off side cover to inspect it. When I got it I was concerned with the movement in the input shaft but sent a video and talked to Wayne at Brewers and he said there was absolutely no reason for concern. Serial number on trans is 9G2362C5 .

2 340 engines I recently picked up, first one is a `71 long block dated 1/21/71 , last 8 of the vin - 1G240641, second one is a `71 block and crank dated 9/26/72 , vin 3B230166. Both are for sale hopefully to owner of car.

Looks like serial # 3G212185 (on passenger side pan rail)
Looks like serial # 3M340 X*423829X* (on driver's side of block under cylinder head)

X* = I can't determine if there is a digit in those locations or not--hard to read.

To the best of my knowledge:
3 = 1973; G = St. Louis, MO final assembly plant; 212185 = last six numbers of vehicle VIN

3 = 1973; M = Mound Road engine assembly plant; 4238 = engine built 03/05/1973; 29X engine built that day
