I am trying to do some research for a job I want to accomplish on the challenger, but I am away from home for a while. Looking for the dimension of the square/rectangular electrical bulkhead opening on the firewall. If anyone has easy access to check for me that would be hugely appreciated!! 70 Challenger...

Cheers beer

From what I recall, the E and 71-74 B body cars had the same dimensions as earlier B cars only the bulkhead is clocked 90 degrees. Maybe someone with one of these other cars can help?

Well if that's the case I have a 68 B Body for reference. The bulkhead opening measures approximately 2-11/16" by 2-7/16".

You are correct about the E Body being clocked different than the 68-70 B Body. It does appear that both openings are the same dimensions but the E Body has rounded corners. I cannot confirm the E Body dimensions because I do not have one to reference to.

Here's a side-by-side pic to explain. The 68 B Body is mine and the 70 E Body was a random internet pic.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! I got a response from cuda-challenger forum. The e-body measurement there stated the dimensions were:
-2 3/8 x 2 3/4"
