Plug Wires

What are you guys buying over the counter to fit a B or RB Block correctly ? Part number and brand ?
With the massive lengths of the general part number wires they always look crappy.

over the counter limits your choices but i have heard good things about Autozone's Duralast 8mm universal set. they are 'cut to fit' though if that bothers you.

I have yet to find a set that will even fit a stock application correctly without being too long or short. Therefor, we make every set for the specific application. twocents

Nice set for the price and comparable to the pick of this board.

what about sliding the terminal/wire back out of the boot then opening the crimp a bit then cutting the wire leaving a core pigtail & folding it under the terminal and recrimping. easy to do & some lube on the insulation helps greatly with this when reinstalling & most wire crimpers have a pair of notch halves sized just for crimping these terminals

Yep, this is what I do, too. And it helps to have some spare wires (old or new) so that you can use the mix of straights and 90*s on the cap ends that works the best.

Master, again and still

I have always done the re-cut and crimping of wires. I thought it was worth asking if someone explored other part numbers for better fitment without re-doing the wires.

definitely worth asking & you'd think with routing being pretty much std (I think) with a few model variations maybe that they'd get em closer or if that ain't possible (too many possibilities) that they'd stick with cut to fit kits. I'd guess that if the wires wont reach on an app that there'd be too many potential comebacks. bad feedback is a killer

I will say my Firecore wires were sent to me and all I told them was its a 440. They came with 45 degree angle on all the wires and I must say the lenth was just right and they fit great with my TTI headers. I mean they really fit just right and I do like them. I have used Taylor and Moroso wires also which fit ok but I feel the Firecore are a step better IMO. Ron
