Can the panel dimmer switch used in 73 Challenger be taken apart and cleaned? I've traced my intermittent dash lights to this switch. I can see light corrosion on the wiper but really can't get to it to really clean. Thanks

I'd get a can of "contact cleaner" at your electronics store, the spray can with the thin red straw & shoot it with that

Thank You. I had some and it helped but it just couldn't flush away all the contamination. It defiantly helped the circuit but it seems like a light scrubbing would be the best. Haven't had the chance to completely remove the switch from the panel to look at its construction yet. I'm guessing it probably wasn't designed to be easily disassembled.

Not designed to be disassembled at all. Since I don't have a switch handy I can't say how easy it'd be to pull apart and clean.

But if this is it,

Then you ought to be able to take it apart if you are careful and clean it up.

Don't be the exception.

Yup. That looks like it. Probably a rainy Saturday project. Thanks for the pic
