Oil pan is rusting out on our old 2004 Doge DooRango. Cheap to buy but a hassle to change. Looking for tips to ease the pain. Looks like......

Back off T-bar tension
Drop center tiebar
Unbolt frt diff & drop down
Undo 1/2-shafts??
Anything else?

Thanks in advance....

Not any help but my 06 Ram oil pan is rusting too. Looks like I will have to change it in the near future.

I know 04 is different, but I did do a couple of 99 ish durangos with just dropping diff a bit, probably removed halfshafts, but saw no need to fiddle with torsion adjustment on them.

We took the pan off my dad's old '96 Dakota 3.9. Had to jack the motor up AND remove the bolts on the steering rack so that it could drop down.

Ok, thanks everyone!
The only reason I mentioned backing off the torsion bar tension is because of pulling that center tie bar. Those tend to keep the frame from twisting. Maybe, if it's supported frame on jackstands it'll be a non-issue.

The 4x4 ones were not fun. Some years had the brackets that also bolted under the eng mounts and that made for more of a pain. Its not a fun job. Ron
