I am picking up this 79 club cab short bed. Looking for ideas/ pics. This one needs cab floors and an engine but its pretty straight overall.

Honestly, the general overall look it has going on now is where it's at IMO. Obviously cleaned up/painted but the stance, tire size and lift are about right. I'd even keep the wagon wheels.

if it was me it would have a gen 1 diesel in it and be flying down the road--of course you need the radiator header panel (especially for the intercooled units) and both axles and the whole fuel tank---it all pretty much bolts right in.....

I love the old extended cabs, except for that one time when I had to ride in the back seat of one for 8 hours.

My grandfather bought one new in 73, still only has around 50k miles on and my brother drives it daily in the summers now. No pics, but orange and white, 2wd 360 4 speed.

I've been looking for a club cab for several years. Those trucks are nearly extinct in this part of the country. Long wheel base trucks have never been popular here.

Cool ride. Looks like they stuck newer or older axles in it and lifted it too.I'd probably lower it back down a little, and I still think a stroked small block would work wonders on that thing if still stock geared. All those older rams I had were a little underpowered, even with the 31's.

I have 7 currently. All are stock and not all are complete yet but I have most everything to make them all complete.

Cool 79 - I prefer the regular cab myself or my Trail Duster
