Thanks for all the great advice. Any recommendations if I upgrade the drive shaft? For others doing similar projects, here are two drive shaft critical rpm calculators: http://www2.dana.com/expert/wc.dll?hvtss~decrits~warn1 http://www.wallaceracing.com/driveshaftspeed.htm I used Strange for a chromemoly driveshaft, however I later realized I was exceeding its critical speed on the top end. I am going to have to go with a carbon fiber unit to have a margin of safety. I'm running 3.91's with 28" tall Nittos.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

I highly recommend installing the entire chassis stiffening kit from US Cartool. It's also a good idea to weld up your K-member and weld up the torsion bar crossmember solidly a crossed the floor. I would also reweld your shock towers to the inner fenderwells to strengthen them too. Give John at US Cartool a call and let them know what you are doing.
