Im looking for pointers what have you guys done to get your 60ft down. I'm running caltracs and A body mono leaf ,,,sliders. I'm going to try a stiffer rear segment spring to hopefully eliminate some of the rear end rotation..is it possible to get a sub-1.20 60 foot in N/A out of this setup

In top stock a buddy of mine Bill Parris would go 1.19 60 foot in a 9.80 car. fr end

Wrong thing to do... its your shocks at the release of the trans brake the wheelie bar rotates 9 inches. Which at that point is too low to the ground I cannot raise the wheelie bar anymore so hopefully eliminating some of the rotation will stop it from unloading the tire when it plants the wheelie bar

John makes a wheelie bar that acts as a lever and plants the tires harder when it hits.

I think you missed the question MR,P are you don't understand what I'm asking. This is a common practice with fast leaf spring cars I was told by caltracs

Think about it.. what allow the pinion to rotate.. the body going up.. you have pretty much a solid front segment... when the front of the pinion rolls up that turns the rear segment down.. why do you think they unclamp the rears... but do what ever you want

I was hoping Monte would chime in but so far nope.
The OP is in DIRE need of a double adjustable shock. Mr P is dead on. The spring only holds the car up and the shock controls the motion of the spring.
Shocks shocks shocks.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I have Double adjustables in all four corners separation and rotation have nothing to do with one another

I have Double adjustables in all four corners separation and rotation have nothing to do with one another You have caltracs correct.. that turns the front pretty much solid.. the front is moving up which allows the rotation.. if the body didnt lift you would have about zero rotation... but then you wouldnt be applying the pressure on the diff

Did you ever look into the Chucky bar at Mandellas? yes Phil look at the car in Las Vegas. And had the same recommendation is John Calvert stiffer rear segment and said if I didn't have contracts he would recommend the Chucky bar but being as how I had caltracs they were fine...

Front segment goes solid when caltracs bar rotates. Your shocks control how much it separates. I think you need better rear shocks.
