I am buying a a 1970 Dodge Challenger and want to paint it a factory 1970 Dodge exterior color , this is a project car and will not be original , it started life as a six cylinder car , now a big block so originality is not important , this Challenger is also a Convertible with white interior and a white top , any suggestions on body color? I am thinking bright blue B5 , dark burnt orange K5 or panther pink M3 , and what would you choose? thanks.

Any of the three would be striking. I think the K4 would look really sharp with the white. Then again, I am a big fan of EF8 and some of the other more muted colors.

I'm a big fan of white interiors, esp E bodies, blue is rather played out, burnt orange is a cool color just not on E bodies, panther pink, while an attractive high impact color is probably best left as a color choice for the wife's vehicle IMHO...

I'd be more inclined for something radically different from the norm, black with a white interior/white top but either a chartreuse (lime green) or red longitudinal 70 R/T side stripe, ralleys wheels or Road wheels, no dog dishes please

or

Sublime, white interior/top with a chartreuse 70 R/T longitudinal side stripe, ralleys

or

If your want blue, B5 blue with white interior/top with a red 70 R/T longitudinal side stripe,....laugh, but I saw one in this combo, was really sharp looking

if your going pink, pink with a pink strip is sharp!

Dare to be different!

I like Q3 with white, but then, I am somewhat biased.

Blue (EB5), Plum Crazy (FC7) or Black (TX9). Personally, I have seen too many Plum Crazy Challenger convertibles.

I've owned 3 Challenger Convertibles (FE5, FY1 and FC7) with white interiors and tops, and loved them all. I ended up changing the FE5 to a Black top and interior as the panels were roached when I got it and I found a nice set of Black panels. I like to match the top to the interior color, so I changed the top to black at the same time.

Using one of the cool different factory color stripes just makes the car pop even more!!!

You could get a number of bumblebee stripes. While the attached item shows the recommended stripe combos, I think you can get creative while still relying on your white top and interior, such as:

EB7/V9Y
FC7/V9J
FE5/V9K or EK2/V9E

Basically, I tried to think of sneaker color combos to come up with the above. Perhaps you can think of more?

I am a BIG Panther Pink fan, owned a PP Cuda BUT it had black stripes and black interior.

The problem is that white top and interior on a PP car looks really feminine.

When the accents are black not-so-much

Go with the burnt orange if you want something different.
