Jimbo OP member J Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 111 Loveland CO	I just got my comtec gaskets for my 470 build, the hole diameter is stated to be 4.380. my bore is 4.370, and the gaskets are very clos to the edge of the bore, and actually hang over the edge at the top of the bore because of the slight taper at the top of the cylinder. has anyone run across this, or do I need to find other gaskets

AndyF I Win A Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 31,076 Oregon	C5462 is probably what you want. That is the gasket that I use on my 470. The bore size is 4.410 so you have 0.020 of clearance around the edge. If the bevel on the top of the bore is really big then you need to go to an even larger gasket. If the block isn't machined yet then you can cut the deck and knock the bevel down a bit.
