I have a 65 FSM, if it's the same then the tool I think you can use is http://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools/pow.../?checkfit=true to pull it, you press it back on.

Correct, just like an alternator, the unit must be disassembled and the rear of the pump shaft supported when pressing on the pulley.
