I didn't take my car as I've decided to direct my funds at running towards the Heritage series.... probably a bad decision on my part, but not having the car afforded me to do some things I've never had time to do. Lots of great show cars and I had plenty of time to wander through them. I had the opportunity to lend a hand here and there and visit with some moparts folk that I only get to see maybe once or twice a year. We used to jokingly refer to it as the "Mopar oil downs at The Strip".... not even CLOSE this year!! Good quality race cars and track cleanup was nearly non existent. Talked to our own Johnny Rotten in the swap area and he said things were pretty slow. That always seems to be hit and miss in that area.... I know he was packed up and gone pretty early sunday. I had every intention on leaving Saturday afternoon, but time got away from me and one of my main reasons to go was to pick up some fuel for my April and June treks to Sacramento and Salt Lake.... the fuel guy closed!! Oh well, we ended up at Al's where his absolutely STUNNING Stratus is sitting and slowly coming together (front clip is on the pool table in the main living area ) beautiful car.... Sunday was a good time as most of the guys I know seemed to all return to the lanes for the next rounds. I finally had to pack it in and start heading home. I think there was a very good vibe and maybe most are starting to see the writing on the wall. 10-15 years ago there were super chevy shows, and fast ford weekends out on this end of the U.S. .... they are all dead and gone now. Personally I have no problem with opening up the show to "other" brands. I just hope the Mopar folks that do travel from afar.... and there's a ton of them (Mexico, Canada, NoDak, Minnesota, Idaho, Washington, Colorado, Wyoming... those were just a few) will continue to do so and make a strong showing. I'd best rearrange my priorities and make sure my lil small block Duster is in attendance next year. Jay

Had a great time, ran both the Dart and the Dragster, didn't have to turn a wrench all weekend on either cars, so that made the weekend pretty good right there. Was some good racing even though I didn't win as many rounds as I had hoped for. Looking forward to next years event. Curtis

Well first I have been not racing my own car. Had a good time but will admit I did not get out and around much other than lending a hand here or there. My son did run our dragster in Q32 and S/Pro. Was only his third race ever and he got some more seat time. Got cracked Rd1 of Q32 and went red rd3 of S/Pro Sunday. Heard the turnout was just over 300 cars down a couple hundred from days gone by, but with Mopar guys I expected that. I hope that Phil keeps it going and gives this new format a chance. I know we will be back if it continues

I thought it smaller than I remember. The only complaint I have is, if they're going to let anyone into Q32, they should just race us all together. It's not fair that the others didn't get paid for quarters, or that Mopars had to race another round. Let us race it off! I did enjoy seeing everyone again.
