On a 1971 ebody with a 340, does anyone know what designated a car to get a Saginaw power steering pump verses a Federal? I know that an axle package car got the Federal pump along with quicker steering package. Which pump would a 3.23 gear automatic get? 3.23 four speed? 3.23 four speed with a/c? 3.23 automatic with a/c?

Every original 71 340 A-body I've seen had a Federal pump, if it had an axle package it also had a cooler. I've also seen Federals on E-body cars but some might have received Saginaws as well.
