Does anyone know the difference of the height of 4 X 4 big block engine mount verses a 4 X 2 big block mount. I had ordered mounts from Shumacher, but found out today that he is a month out on filling the order. I can build my own mounts from the small block set i pulled out if i knew what the height difference is. Any info would be helpful

If you're going to build a set, you might consider using the '93 Cummins motor mounts. They are significanly bigger cross section and include the interlock tabs.

I put them in my '77 Ramcharger the same time I was installing a 203/205 doubler with a custom trans (transfer case) mount. Because it moved the engine up about 3/4" I went ahead and installed a floor shifter as the column shifter linkage pivot no longer lined up. I could have adjusted the column shifter if I wanted but I needed an excuse to install a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter smile

Believe he's referring to the engine mount brackets. All the 80s have the safety catch also.
The height I believe on the engine mount brackets are the same. Its the motor mount hole location thats different.
