what gear oil should I run in 72 charger 4 speed should I use gl 5 or gl 4 thanks

GL-5 is not good for brass synchros.

Ive run nothing but 89/90 gear oil in mine since 69.Never a problem.It came with it so thats what I use.You will get a lot of different answers.Rocky

Use castrol syncromesh , it is made for transmissions with brass rings
