I was speaking with a member about the benefits of relays for power windows for B, C and E body cars.

The kit would consist of 8 relays, 2 for each window, and be set up essentially as plug and play using correct Packard 56 connectors at the motors. Some finish termination would be required at the supplemental fuse block provided to tailor wiring to each car. Enough wire would be provided to make a clean installation.

Same build quality as my other relay kits, using as many components sourced from the US as possible. Pricing would be in the 250-300 range depending on brand of relays used, Picker relays on lower end, Tyco/Bosch on the higher end of price scale.

Would there be any interest in a kit like this? Thanks for any input.

The member I spoke with says the windows work similar to a new car now. Window up and down, Stop to stop with good speed. Loads are taken off the switch, bulkhead, ammeter and factory wiring. Gets upgraded to at least 12GA wire for all power carrying circuits in the kit.

I've sold one kit on another site, along with a vert top relay kit. Putting it together this weekend.

I don't have a website. That may be in the works.

Here are two threads at another site that have examples of my products.

How much do you think it'd help on a b-body convert? Mine are super slow.

The relays help both window and vert top speed a lot.

Interesting. On a side note, does anyone make an electric window kit that actually works correctly? I have a Duster and I've heard that most of the kits out there don't even have enough power to move the window so you have to help it with your hand. These relays may help that though.

If the window motors aren't getting the voltage they should, same as the headlights being dim, they just don't work as designed.

Here's a picture of a kit I put together today. Should have it finished up tomorrow.

Before I buy the relays I need to find an electric window kit, it looks like Electric-Life doesn't make a kit for a '72 Duster.

I still can't find a 72 Duster electric window kit! I can't believe Electric-Life makes them for the 73-76 Dart but not the 70-72 Duster.
