My Father in law purchased this new in California, he traded in a 68 B5 383 road runner for it.

I have told this story before..

Back in the day, while under my A12 car ( a daily experience it seemed like) next to my friend working on his BB Chevelle, in my parents driveway, up drives another friend in a 65 corvette convertible..

NICE car, white with black top and interior.. We were giving him a bad time about his LOW horsepower 327, powerglide ( UGH ) asking him "what are you going to do with that"..
I need to say he had just sold a VERY FAST 63 small block vette (12.5 - 1 compression) that was scary when it rained..

I guess we didn't see the GOOD LOOKING brunette with him as he said "driving to the beach".. With a grin and a wave he left..

Looked over at my friend with the chevelle, we were both greasy dirty trying to keep our "fast" cars on the road and ready for a "weekend" of cruising...

No I didn't get it then, but I sure do now...

Thanks for the memories....LOL

What's odd about the RR photo is the license frame: pretty sure it says Clippinger with a Chevy Bowtie; that was a SoCal Chevy dealership for years.
