I have a few questions in relation to the oil filter mounting on a Gen III Hemi engine.

What size in the thread into the block for the oil filter fitting?

what diameter oil filter is used?

Can someone post a pic of the oil filter area ?

Cheers

It depends on what fitting you have either 22mm or 3/4-16"
I wrote up a thread a while back that has some info and pics

What is the thread in the block? So the adapter is either 3/4" UNF or M22, what's the thread that screws into the block?

Cheers

You can buy the 3/4 nipple and screw it right in then the filter options are a lot better you can use a larger filter to add oil capacity

That is what I have mocked up to use a System 1 filter with the truck angle mount.

If you use a /6 K member and fab your own mounts, you can put it in the stock position. I went ahead and put on a remote adapter with a thermostat and cooler out of road course paranoia.

I'm asking because I've been asked to make a remote oil filter kit for a Gen III engine. I make them for LA engines currently, just looking at what changes I'd have to make to adapt my current kit to the Gen III stuff. I may have to pick up the nipple from somewhere and go from there. I've been looking around for a Gen III engine to buy, but it will have to wait until after the holidays.

Cheers
