Thought this was a cool pic!

Finally got the fuel lines,fittings and throttle lever for the Demon. Neighbor Dave fixed me up! Runs very nice with the new Double Pumper! Found a drop base for the aircleaner too as everything moved upwards into the hood. Pretty sure the extra stock flat hood that I have (with bracing removed like factory maxies) will clear now. Gonna take it and have it stripped in the next week or two so I can get rid of the silly looking scoop.

My wife says: "You just got it together, why are you going to tear it apart again?!"

Pulled the top end off the motor and got the Stealth's painted. One bay in my garage looks like the parts box for a model car!

Back together and running. Easiest swap ever! WHOOOO!

Got the car officially tagged, titled and insured this past week.

Drove it 150+ miles and had a ball.

It runs great, smooth as silk coming down from a few 1/4 mile blasts and never had a single issue!

Speedview app had me at 114 mph for my "high score" LOL!

Well, crap!

Stock rod bolts suck.

Fortunately I'd been gathering parts (block and rockers recently) to do a stroker shortblock. This just speeds up the process...

Had the heads pressure checked and the two valves replaced in the one head. Machinist said I was really lucky as the one bent valve had it's head come off in his hand as he was taking it out!

He took a .010 cut off of both to get them flat again.

Top end is ready so I need to get the shortblock built..

I ordered a Molnar 4.25" stroke crank and 7.1" long rods along with Mahle pistons Friday. Flexplate, oil pan and balancer arrived today.

I'm anxious to get everything to my machinist!

I had some problems with getting an incorrect crank and they quickly remedied that but it slowed things down some.

The block has been cleaned, main studs installed, align honed and the decks evened up. He was putting it on the boring machine when I stopped by to swap cranks last week.

The heads went to Modern Cylinder Head for CNC porting on Friday.

A little slow but making some progress. So far everything is fitting together nicely with no surprises. The combination balanced really nicely with minimal weight coming off the crank. The 4.25 stroke clears the oil pump pickup and bottoms of the bores with no block mods.

Wow! Fired for the first time today and it was definitely a different sounding motor! Looks exactly the same but the extra 3 points of compression, 65" and ported heads make a sound all their own!
