I agree, however all 4 main points have been made numerous times here on moparts, but seldom all at one time. Case in point, a stock 318 will overpower most drivers here when they start out, and that's what they should start out with. Not sure it sinks in. The reason, it's a lot easier on the ego to rationalize your lack of track performance standing on lack of money spent on your part, then your limited driving driving talent/experience. Reminds me of the latest mega checkbook cars in the latest HR magazine, little mentioned of how they actually handle, but boy, that's a lot money spent and they have neat looking options. eyes

Your comment reminds of a guy that worked for me occasionally over the past decade. He was above average, had a certain amount of charisma. Tough as nails. The downside was he had a tough upbringing, got involved with drugs, made a number of bad choices, hung out with the wrong people, and went to prison, all before I met him. As most now know well, your future is severely cramped for the rest of your life once a felon. I gave him a chance. Prison taught him quite a bit I suspect. He was the best in spotting a scam or BS. It was amazing. However, he was really bad sadly, at spotting the truth. We have felt it best a number of years ago if we went our separate directions. I wish him luck. Internet, its also really hard to spot the truth from the rest, IMO.

Pretty spot on. I learned many of these things in a different automotive world, Jeeps. Rock crawling is a very similar "track" where learning how to drive comes with many more benefits than dropping thousands on your rig.

Keeping though to my Barracuda, the engine build is very simple. Mild power out of a 5.7L Hemi will be just enough to have decent power on tap, but not too much that I'm constantly chasing the rear end. drive

Na. I think that track had too many turns in it. Like the first corner. laugh2

Roger Bolliger, track menace, LMAO. I can see a gang of mini and BMW drivers beating his ass after the race. Blowing coolant out, dive bomb passing like me driving GT 4 on playstation.(at least he didn't punt any of those those slow poke cars) Here's some info on his car. http://www.butlerperformance.com/FeaturedCars/Rbolliger.htm
