I looked at a bolt pattern website, it didn't list a 2009 challenger but it did list a 2009 Charger. And it didn't list a 2014 Mustang but it did list a 2011 Mustang so these results may be wrong but this is what it said:
2009 Dodge Charger Bolt Pattern (in): Bolt Pattern (mm): Offset Range (mm): Front Center Bore (mm): Rear Center Bore (mm): Stud_Size: 5x4.53 5x115 12 to 22 71.5 71.5 14x1.5
2011 Ford Mustang Bolt Pattern (in): Bolt Pattern (mm): Offset Range (mm): Front Center Bore (mm): Rear Center Bore (mm): Stud_Size: 5x4.50 5x114.3 34 to 45 70.5 70.5 12

A 17" Weld RTS is a good looking wheel, and if he's going for the look of a drag wheel he won't be able to do that with 20" wheels.

Why go from a stronger, better looking 20" wheel to a smaller 17"????? because its his car and thats what he wants to do. seems simple enough to me.

Bolt patterns may line up, but if its an SRT-8, the Mustang wheel may not clear the brakes.

This tells me that you have no clue what a Weld RTS wheel is.
