IIRC industrial hemis were avaliable in quite a few years in the early 60s.Almost bought one that was on an air raid siren.Rocky

Thanks, but I don't see an "RL" listing on that page. Unless it's for L = 'Low Compression' and R = '1961'. But a HEMI in 1961? L and R are stamped after the block leaves the mold while the LR is a raised casting created from the mold. I've never seen a conclusive explanation as to what the raised casting symbols mean but they're obviously foundry info.
