The best thing you can do to try and free the engine is to not just try to turn it one direction, but to work the crank back and forth. Sometimes it takes a lot of twisting back and forth before much progress is made. And be sure to let it set and soak with your chosen penetrant for several days.

I do a three-day treatment using a concoction of diesel, ATF and WD-40. This mixture has yet to meet an engine it couldn't break free.

PCL Break Free. Some fire departments use it to free stuck hydrants. I've used it to free linkage and motors that were stuck.

I don't know if its true but I've heard Coke as in Coca-Cola will free up a stuck motor. Yep, the phosphoric acid in Coke eats rust.

I'll try to get to it this weekend and then give it a week or so to soak. what liquid are you gonna use! GOOD NEWS: I went outside earlier to tag the plug wires before removing them. Decided to see what happens if I put a socket on the crank pulley bolt. With hardly any effort, the pulley turned! I only moved it a few degrees but at least I know it turns. Afterwards, I went rummaging in my cabinet and found some very old Marvel Mystery Oil (we're talking 20+ years). Does it go bad? Same question for kerosene(I've got that lying around also). I'm on a budget so if I don't have to buy anything I already have it's a plus. At this point, unless it's not a good idea because the stuff is so old, I think I'll put a little of my Marvel in each cylinder as a light lubricant. Thanks again for your support. Harold
