These New CAm FX shaft rockers are tool steel, are lighter on the valve tip than a aluminum rocker, less deflection , needle or bushed tips, don't have the short cycle life that aluminum has.,and all parts are made right here in America. All ratios are available. Rockers are complete with tool steel shafts, tips and ajusters...pm me for details...LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! Tony

Right - if it looks good, the engineering must be perfect, since (as we all know) all bad designs have rough edges, tool marks, etc.

These are individual shaft rockers. The smaller axle only spans the width of the rocker. There is a bolt on both sides. 16 bolts hold the rockershafts(splayed valve) instead of 5 on an inline arrangement. Totally different application. not an apples to apples comparison.

I ordered a set of those weak, ill engineered, not as good as aluminum babies today so I guess it was all just one big mistake given the theory of how weak they are.
Having seen plenty of the guy's work, on plenty other tappets, and complete rocker system, and having seen stiffer exhaust rockers pick up power. I think it'll all be ok.
I only use steel on the exhaust side, and I've seen it make more power for anyone interested, or has high cylinder pressure IE blown, or heavy nitrous.
i can attest that EVERYTHING the guy makes is as nice as it comes. Most especially his tappets.

I run the T & D stainless rockers on the intake and exhaust since its a forced induction app. Did the needle bearing tips and spring oiling option which has performed flawless so far.
Wonder if these are any cheaper than the T&D?
Then again the aluminum ones seem to stand up to boost with no problems with other guys.. Piece of mind costs big money it seems.
What does everyone run for lifters and pushrods?
Smith bros 1/2" to 7/16" taper here and Isky EndurX EZ Roll 3372-EZX I think is the PN.

I You guys are running some big stuff in the valve train. I'm just using aluminum rockers with 7/16 double taper pushrods and .937 Crower .180 offset tappets, and as Tony says "smallish cam for a Predator". How much compression are the N/A guys running and how much HP are you expecting to see? Also, what timing are you running? 16.44 to 1 tom as you know, think should be able to make 1270+ hp N/A .expecting total timing to be around 31 degrees , will find out in a month or two on S&S Dyno......

Why does the stiffer rocker on the exhaust side make such a difference? Exhaust side is critical and as stated opens against more pressure. Valvetrain deflection is an issue. Also, you do NOT want a failure on the exhaust side in any motor, but especially a boosted or nitrous motor. With a broken exhaust rocker, the intake keeps piling stuff in the cylinder, but it's not getting out. The NEXT thing to "get out" is usually a rod. As for Cam FX, I run their keyway lifters..............top notch stuff

Anyone know if there's any plans to make these for B-1 heads? Or Jesel Tomahawk stuff? S/F.....Ken M I think Chris can make rockers for just about anything! he has 4 cnc machines. If there is a demand (a few sets ) Im sure he would make a run of them.

Does the predator heads require offset lifters? No, I do not run offset lifters in mine.....

Mine are .937 Jesel keyways. We spread them out as well to get them as straight as we could with the block we had. Also using all left hand offsets. Mine are about a straight as they can get. Required a lot of clearancing to block and heads as well. Still not quite ready but inching closer. Now with the season for the heads up car done things should move a little faster.

Well since everyone is singing his praises I guess someone has to be a little rain. I have found Chris EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of. Don't want to go into to much detail but our experience with them has not been very good. Maybe just bad luck on our part.

I just added to my order with CamFX. Aside from the tool steel rockers and 1 inch tappets, I'm having Chris make a full set of Ti rockers for my next predator build as well. I'll post up some pictures when I see them.
Having a better base plate will be nice as well. There's nothing at all wrong with the T+D, just like everything else in the world. There's always something better.
Chris made Ti rockers for some of the winning PS teams before ti rockers got outlawed for PS by the good ole NHRA.
Monte, if you're reading this could you weigh in on the super A nozzle from nos? My manifold has 2 bungs for 90 degree nozzles in each runner, and I don't really want to re fit to annular. The scoop comes down over the manifold as well, I think making annular even more difficult to fit (I think). I'm looking for the meanest 90 nozzle there is.
Yep, Chris told me about your rockers..... 👍👍👍👍👍
