Is there suppose to be something that holds the 1/4 window tight against the 1/4 belt area? There are 3 screws on the post and one in the area by the lock in the sail panel area but to me it should sit tighter against the 1/4.

That's all there is... I dont know if its the aftermarket AMD quarter panels or not, but my windows and gaskets fit so poorly that I ended up using some stiff spring clamps to squeeze it all together. I'm sure that there is a better fix, but its been working for me for 4-5 years now.

Just the 4 screws hold it in. You could try and elongate the holes on the front to get it out a bit more.

If a replacement quarter, it appears the top was not rolled in far enough. The gap is excessive.

I have the same problem on my roadrunner, there is a 1/4" gap and no easy fix. I thought it was the windows, so I sourced a second set...but that wasn't the problem. I had one replacement quarter but I have the same problem on both sides... work

I ran into this with my 1969 Road Runner. I replaced mine because they were frosted "Back in the Day". Anyway what I didn't notice that my car actually had Super Bee windows that actually fit really good. I was getting very frustrated trying to get the correct Road Runner ones to fit as well. I had them in and out multiply times. Best fit came with gently prying up and out on the frame of the window while tightening the screws.

Crazy that the Super Bee ones sealed up better, there is no gap with mine but it isn't as tight to the quarter...I am sure if the car got wet, water would easily leak down into the quarter.

Had the same problem, it has been a few years but I believe I added some 3M strip caulk to space the gasket closer to the quarter panel. I added it between the metal frame and the gasket to plump it our.
It was a bit of trial and error but came out good.
