Did some of the earlier production 70 B-bodies use the battery hold down ( zig zag) style and tray or is this just wrong and they should be the straight type? I've seen cars with them both ways.

All I can say is....I have a '70 B-body built Jan. 1970 with the straight battery hold down and a '69 B-body built Dec. 1968 with the zig-zag type.

My 2 B-Bodies use straight ones.I don't think a 70 could use the zig-zag type because it would put the inboard holddown stud in a different spot and there isn't a second hole in the battery tray for it. John.

My eary built 70 has the straight version. a lot of the high end Hodges cars seem to have the offset version.
