Sold the CFE W8's but....

421 SB R3 358 WC block
Crower Ultralite crank 3.8" stroke
GRP rods
Diamond pistons
Bullet roller cam
Single four barrel cast intake

Best ET it ran 5.69

Best honest MPH 125 had a no name track that showed 128 but, I called BS.

The block has been tested due to an undetermined leak and no trouble was found in the questionable cylinder. The heads are sold sense then the block and intakes are in the for sale section. Could be somebodies lucky day.

Built to spray a little, but decided to go N/A. Car is now finished just in time for the bad weather. We will run this engine for one season before selling it and doing a full N/A build.

Go to an ATCO rent day and take it right out of the car.

Dean just gave me a slap. It's a 50mm.

I should really re-read before I post.

Almost a clone to mine....why is mine such a turd by comparison? Hey Jim, could you share some cam/valvetrain specs on your build? PM if you want. No offense to any others, but this an impressive build for the power output. I am sure I am 100 hp less with almost the same combo and more compression.

Brian, I was thinking the same thing. Mine is very similar as well. I'm sure my combo is giving up some hp with the nitrous camshaft but 100 hp?

Yes Mike....ours are very similar as well. What is Jim doing so right that we are doing so wrong for the difference in hp? I can understand mine being slightly quicker than yours in (N/A) because I don't have a nitrous cam, but ours are pretty equally paired. I know Jim has beaten on his on the dyno for a long time and is wringing it out pretty good.

I would say cylinder head/manifold/carb. Mine picked up 100hp with a head change and another 30 after the dyno with more carb work.

4.100 x 4.00 stroke Chapman w9 with 772 intake opened for a dominator. 754hp/615ftlbs. In my 3520lb barracuda has run a best of 9.66 at 138.6mph.
