Some part numbers may be the same, but on a small block car the suction line (compressor to firewall), and the line from the drier to the condenser and the condenser itself changed at some point - not sure exactly when it changed, but here is a picture of a 70 and 72 small block with ac. It always amazes me on these cars how much stuff is 70-only. Seems like almost everything is different between 70 and 71-74 when it comes down to the fine details.

I have an extra small block '70 compressor, suction line, and condenser. Possibly some of the other pieces too if I dig through my stuff a little bit. PM me if interested.

I pretty sure a small blk. compressor is different than big blk. doesn't have as deep a sump on the bottom.

Yes the compressor is different. I'm really hoping to find someone getting rid of there whole under the hood a/c components from a 70 small block challenger, as the condenser and lines are specific to 70. And I will need the brackets and wires. I have the heater box and dash as the car originally came with air.

I took the lines of my '70/318 Challenger when I switched to BB+Sanden... I'll look around and see what I still have.
