How about a 14-71 blown 528" Hemi Pro Street Volkswagen Thing? LOL Kidding aside, ever since I saw Project X roll into Tubby's Drive-In in that movie "The Hollywood Knights", I've had a fondness for '57 Chevys. My wife said if I sell the Jeep, my next project is going to be the last project, so I figured I had better do a '57 Chevy while I can. After looking for about 4 months, I bought a SUPER solid, straight and nearly rust free '57 2 door Sedan in Daytona Beach. Not a complete car, its basically a body that's already been blocked straight on an already restored frame, plus a butt load of parts.
I'm with you on that one Dave , that is my favorite shoebox from the movies ... my first car , birthday present from my parents , was a 1956 Chevy 2 door sedan. Never really did much with it but it was a blast to drive in my senior year of high school. I really like the Roadkill '55 Hemi Gasser project, that got me thinking ... Wow, that was a nice b-day present! I've watched that Roadkill episode several times. I agree, Finnegan's '55 gasser is very cool. To hop in a just completed car, and drive it across country takes some grapefruit-sized nuggets!

Wow. Very nice start Dave. Looks real solid. What's the plan for motivation? BB, SB, turbo LS? Thanks. Just a 480hp LS3 crate motor with a 4L80E behind it. Well, soon the Jeep will be backing out of my garage for the last time. I took a deposit from a buyer. The Jeep will be moving to Fort Meyers, FL. It's the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one!

Oz- your brake booster is on the wrong side!
Dave, tthat looks like an awesome start to a project. The tri-5's are timeless, can't wait to see how it ends up. Like John, I absolutley love Finnegan's car. He just ditched the 8 stack injecton and installed a blower in the last month or two.
