Hey guys, any of you find repo fuel tanks for behind the seat? I don't really want to move my tank, just looking for a new one. I had this one cleaned and resealed about 20 years ago but the Florida humidity has not been kind to it, gotta change my fuel filter about every 3 months and yes I run dual filters, one from the tank feed and one under the hood.

You won't find one unless you can make another truck brand's fuel tank work.

I thought about older model Chebbie or Ferd tank from LMC trucks, just have to do some measuring and check fill neck position. If any of you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears, I wanna keep the tank in the cab though.

You like the concept of sitting in a metal box with 18 gallons of highly flammable liquid. Your choice.

My next tank is going to be under the bed somewhere.

Plus, it opens up space behind the seat for useful things.

Could be worse, could be on 2 wheels with highly flammable liquid between my legs...

If there is still metal left, may be able to clean and seal again. I have had good luck with the Eastwood 3 step kit (detergent, acid, acetone, sealer) for rare tanks. Kinda messy but works well.

Though personally I would get it out of the cab by adopting a later model tank for all the reasons mentioned. I'm pretty sure brand F and C in cab tanks are hard to find or unavailable because of liability fears.

Google: Moyer Fuel Tank Renu

They did a tank for me that was not reproduced and it has worked very well for me.

They cut them apart, sand blast everything, fix any rust damage, coat the inside etc. I think the prep for the coating on the inside is key and they have it down. I thought it was reasonable. I think around 350 or so but don't quote me.
