Looks like I'll be pulling the R3 motor out of my car the rear main is leaking. Any suggestions or tips on changing the rear main seal so it doesn't leak anymore? And which Seal should I use? Thanks

Pulled pan off twice( in the car) second time even installed a rope seal..... before I had enough sense to put the car on a lift and yank the tranny.... Walla..... Oil dripping out the bottom of the cam plug.....

got the motor out. theres oil everywhere. so how do you tell where its coming from? Doesn't look like any plugs are loose. so I guess I will put in a new rear main and hope for the best.

Clean the block, add a dye to the oil & prime the heck out of it.

Best to use a little anaerobic sealer on that plug, once you push it in it will set up nicely. Never had a leak after that.
