How "light" can you get a 73-74 Satellite w/BB?
Race weight that is.

Won't be cheap to make one light and look good to.
3100lbs would be very light for a 73/74.

Get very creative once you pass the usual suspect parts that can be changed to either fiberglass or carbon fiber. Other than that it would probably serve you well to work within and out with what you already got.
There are no factory exterior lightweight race parts that I know of, so you would have to lighten the parts on the car. A challenge yes, but impossible NO!
Nice cars by the way and they are candidates for true sleeper status once you get 'em light.

Good luck.

My question was vague, light to me for a 71-74 B body is less than 3500# with driver.
I would hope you might be able to get one down to the 3300# - 3400# range without cutting it to pieces.

Got my Cordoba down to 3464 w/driver ( 175) but it aint too pretty no mo. In stock trim it was 3960. Once you get past any glass /aluminum body panels that might be available, it's all about losing creature comforts. To get under 3300 lbs, I had to lose HVAC, wiper system, all the interior, inner fender panels, frt. bumper, P/S system, power brake system, stock fuel tank. Those were the big pieces that I can think of. If it weighs anything like mine in stock trim, you will be cutting it to get to 3300 lbs. Individual components aren't as heavy as you my think - which equates to taking a lot of stuff out.
