I need to rebuild the front door power window motors on my 1973 Charger. In researching rebuild parts available, I found two different styles

1. the familiar triangle and three plastic discs set up (used up to 1974 and famous for the pieces of plastic disks that apparently show up when these fail),
and
2. a clutch and spring-looking thing (apparently used after 1975).

There are rebuild kits available for both styles.

Can anyone recommend one over the other and explain why?
