We run two Indy -1 engines one with a 1.5 the other with a 1.6 and don't have an issue with either engine.

Jim I wish we would have went with the paired shaft but we didn't want to pull the heads. I never thought we would run into a problem like this. First the rocker hit the retainers before the stem we had 2" installed height so we set them to 1.950 that fixed that problem. The next thing is the problem with popping out of the cup I think it is just the angle of the adjuster in relation to the push rod the cup is pretty shallow so it wants to pop right out the far side of the cup were using 1.6 ratio I'll see what the one Larry is sending looks like hoping it works and doesn't over correct the issue so the push rod than hits the cup at full lift. What spring are guys using? I can probably get you back to a 2.00" installed height or better if that would help your geometry issues. 1.550" OD spring I assume?

...I have T&D rockers on my 440-1 heads. Even though I have the paired rocker system. It looks like the adjuster is offset slightly on mine? bringing the adjusters closer together on each pair ... As I look at "oldguys" rockers a little more, my adjusters may be in the same location, but due to the third bolt on the holddown between the rockers, my rockers may simply be thinner to give room between them. I am surprised even the roller tip end of the rockers is different on my paired system. You can see the roller from the top view of mine, but not on the single shaft (oldguy) system.

Here are a few links for you! A little bit of searching the forum will give you a whole lot more info. No one ever expects to have problems when bolting on aftermarket parts, but it happens, and you have to make the proper corrections to get it right, or you'll be chasing your tail for a long time coming. Jim, the reason the paired systems work well, is because the cast in stands are milled off and they give a tool to get the new stands at the correct height. Although I'm not a fan of the tool idea, it gets you a heck of a lot closer than bolting a single shaft system directly to the cast stands. The shafts need to be moved.
