rubbing the pushrod passage in the head? may need to open them up, also do you have the right offset rocker for those heads if in fact they have a offset for the exhaust.

what lifter, if it's a roller is it hitting the tie bar or rivet holding it on, be nice if others that have had this issue would chime in cause i'm running out of ideas,,had a similar issue with a smallblock and was using Erson rockers went to T@D paired rocker set-up and found the ersons were off on their offset and the T@D's fixed that problem.

how much adjuster do you have sticking out on the pushrod side of the rocker, may be a pushrod length problem or the rocker alignment need tweeked, does the rockers use a offset drilled shaft if so then that can throw the tip alignment off if its installed wrong (backward). also what Rebel said

Rebel were yours popping out toward the rocker shaft these pop out in the direction of the shaft. How do I put pictures on here. no mine were trying to get away from the shaft, if yours are trying to come closer then you definately dont have a clearence issue, i'm more thinking you have too much lash maybe??

My Keith Black engine had 440-1 Indy heads and single shaft T&D rockers and I had to grind the heck out of my block and heads. I too had off-set comp lifter but I ran my standard off-set lifters as it worked out better for me. I would suggest using machinist blueing on the whole pushrod to see if and were it is making contact. May set-up went 8.40's@160mph with zero issues in my Daytona.
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.38@138.67

Do you have any pics of the rockers from directly above them looking down at head?
