Is The 71 Charger Bumper,Rear Different than 72 - Cant Find Repro. For 72

From what I understand they are the same other than the slots for the jack hook. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I can confirm or debunk.

Correct, 72 has slots for bumper jack, 71 jacks used a hook that grabbed the bottom of the bumper.

I second that! They are a bolt-up but the '72 has the slots.

Embarrassed to say I have a '72 and never paid attention to that. I even swapped in '71 r/t tail lights for the plain '72s.

No! The standard housings from '71 to '72 are not interchangeable. The Rallye,R/T and 500 lights, however, are the same. If you were asking if the housings for either year will fit the bumper………. Yes. they have the same mounting tab locations for the taillamp housings.

Correct answers. 72 has the jack slots. Took me for ever to find one for re-chroming. Anyway I still have it and car is sold. Let me know if interested.
