A little over one more inch. Seems stable and the car is also now outfitted with the Willwood brakes.
here are some pics for those interested.

it was dropped 1.625 in the front and a one inch drop in the rear. the front 4 piston willwood calipers clear the brake calipers easy.
24.5 inches in front and a measured 25 3/4 in the rear
working om the rear of the car at this tim to get it changed over to the disksystem also.

I had the hood made and was worried that it would make my butt look big...what do you think..its 70 amx style scoop crafted upon the fiberglass gremlin hood

next mod it the rear diff. mounting the rear sway bar. it is a 3/4 piece.
the front is a 7/8ths one

How is this drop being achieved?
Is this for looks, or lower COG, because this is the handling forum? stirthepot

I would align it and put some miles on it before going any further, tell anyone that doesn't like to try photoshop.

24.5" to top of front fender lip edge sounds pretty low. Does it have headers?

How close is the engine crossmember to the ground? I assume that is lower than the oil pan.

I have no issues driving it
It does have the typical Amc style lower than anything else header

Front was dropped using lowering plates

I like the hood, looks like it would work well and it's subtle from the side.

The hood was made for me. The scoop is a 1970 amx style scoop. As far as the wheel and
Tire, thee 215 and a 225 in rear.
Still on factory 14 inch wheels....Ughhh

But I am in the process of looking for a wheel I think will work.
Currently looking at fikse fm5 or maybe a fmx10.
Leaning towards the fm5

Any opinions on wheels at this point would be appreciated

I think the FM5s would look nice on there.

In HS I had a buddy with those on a fox body.
He got a set of the "techni-polish" finished ones for a song and painted them black, which I thought ruined them, but he wanted the "murdered out" look on his black fox body.

Nice car, glad you are enjoying it still today.

I got a used one just like yours when I was 19-20 years old. I got my X from my next door neighbor after he drove it pretty much 100% back and forth to Lousiville KY on a Monday and come home Fri night with it all highway miles.

I drove it on and off for like 5 years, it was a 258 6 with 3 speed on the floor and it never broke down. I beat on that thing hard and it held up great. The clutch was going out for 100000 miles I swear. It never did go all the way out. Eventually the key got broke off in the ignition and it would always start. It became a community car. My girlfriend drove it and several of my friends drove it, sometimes for days.
I remember calling around to see who had the X like when my challenger broke down.

Had a ton of fun in that car and drove it to like 175K miles before I sold it to a gremlin enthusiast. It had like 40K miles on it when I bought it.

Been looking for the only picture I have of it for 2 days, I can't find it yet.
