Tom, I think your car looks good with those wheels, and it does seem a bit more "planted" in the photos now. I did get my car back from the body shop. It came out pretty good. I had the C pillars fixed where the bondo cracked out (ex-vinyl top car), and he replaced the B pillar area,(drivers door striker area) that the P.O. had welded up poorly. I will just rattle can the paint back in, until next year when I put it back to the orig FE5 bright red. Not like me to do cosmetics to any of my cars, but there it is. Rick

Hey if any of you are pro-touring.com users I could use your vote, I only had one video on my computer so it's my Barracuda, and it's not very high tech. But, it's the only Mopar in the contest, and I could use the $500 towards the Valiant so if you can help, I'd appreciate it!

They weigh 20 lbs, which is 7 lbs less than my current front wheel, and 9 lbs less than each of my rears...

That is a nice amount of weight dropped and for the money spent averaging under $200 per corner, sell off the old wheels and I bet you are at even money.

Now since you dropped that kind of weight have you noticed better response from the car into and out of the turns? As well as the stopping distance can you go deeper into the corners now?

Thanks so much for everyone's help! It looks like you have to spend the $$ with a pro-touring.com sponser so since BF Goodrich sponsored the contest, it looks like 2 tires! Mopar guys are the best!

So why are you running the earlier sway bar?

I thought the later one was superior in that it was tucked up better being inside the k-frame, and the shorter arms made the bar effectively stiffer than the early bar. Read the whole thread but I don't remember reading anything about why to run that one.

Nice car, BTW! Well done.

Actually I had forgot this had happened, I ordered the Hotchkis kit before I had a 73+ K member, so I ordered the older car kit. After the steering wouldn't clear the Dougs Headers using the old K and suspect slant six conversion motor mounts, I switched to a 73+ spool mount V-8 K. Dan made the older sway bar work on the new K. I have since heard that since it's bigger and mounts in a different location the 72 and earlier sway bar may actually be stiffer anyway.

Tom,
Are you going to be running at the Autocross being hosted at the Barrett Jackson Autoshow next weekend in Reno?
