So since I've moved I've searched high and low for my degree wheel and can't find it. So I'm in the market for a new one.

I have the comp cams crank socket and it has something like a 0.995 shaft. So I'm looking for a large degree wheel that won't break the bank that will fit this crank socket.

The moroso 18" looks great, but I can't find anywhere where they list the center hole size.

Got in a hurry, but continue to check on www.jegs. com, www.compcams.com and www.moroso.com too. The information is out there, YOu just have to look for It. I was window shopping for a new degree wheel and learned about the range adapters that come with I think Compcams and perhaps Jegs as well.

Mine is an old Mr Gasket 11" wheel from 1979. I modified it by cutting the center out of it. Made an aluminum center so I could rotate the outer ring without having to loosen up the crank bolt. One of the best tool mods I ever did.

That's the one I had. I got it from my dad. I had to open the hole up on that one. IIRC it was a .750ish opening before I opened it up to fit my crank socket. I didn't open it up perfectly when I was young so it wobbled a bit as it turned lol.

Not sure how much that threw it off, but it did the job. Now I'd rather buy one with the opening already to size.

The comp cams degree wheels are 9" and smaller, not sure how I feel about that. I like the idea of the big ones, but is that extra .5° really worth the extra $40-150 extra for the big ones?

Thanks for listing all the websites I already looked at. As I stated I looked everywhere and couldn't find specs. I was hoping someone already had the wheel and could measure it. Maybe on the computer it shows different info, but on my phone I see nothing....

The Mr Gasket one in the pics did come with an assortment of different size center hole adaptors, which I just adapted to my aluminum center section. Don't think I would go smaller than 12" dia. if I were to buy another one - if you want to read it in 1/2 degree increments.

Me also, I believe it comes with 3 different buttons for mounting, and I had to modify one. It was close but not quite the Chrysler size as I recall.

That's a pretty small degree wheel. Can't be much bigger than 8"???

For $5 more you could have gotten a comp cams.

Wow! How do you even put a pointer on that lol.

It does look nice though. It'll take a whole coat hanger to make a pointer..

Larger the wheel the better, 18" is too small for me.

I do have a 18" moroso wheel here and the hole size is 1.025" exactly, same as my Jomar wheel which is about 24" in diameter.

laugh laugh Mine only uses 1/2 a coat hanger - sharpened to a point of course - and the larger the degree wheel, the more anal attentive the wheel operator. Remember, most of us are setting ignition timing on an 8" diameter wheel. whistling smile
