What differences if any are there between 70 and 71 Challey fenders. I have a drivers side with a rectangular cut out where the step lip meets the grille where the hood pin is by and a passenger side that does not have this rectangular cut out by the hood pin hole.

Is this the only difference between 70/71 fenders and which one is which year?

Notch = not a 1970 fender.

There are changes in the hood bumper adjuster positions being here & there as well. There was a great thread here about it several years ago, but it may be gone for good by now.

Not the thread I recall, but thanks Tom.

This one had several photos of the front fender plates with subtle location changes noted.

Now this info is new to me. I have a 70 passenger fender and an old use to be NOS fender with the grille cut out.
